The university was founded in 1845 as Queen’s College, Galway and was more recently known as University College, Galway (UCG) (Irish: Coláiste na hOllscoile, Gaillimh or COG) has distinguished record of achievement in research, in teaching and in service to the community.

DERI is a Centre for Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET) established in 2003 with funding from the Science Foundation Ireland. The vision of the Digital Enterprise Research Institute has been crucial in the semantic web and today’s is recognized as the largest leading international web science research institute interlinking web technologies.

ECOLE POLYTECHNIQUE FEDERALE DE LAUSANNE – EPFL

The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is one of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology and is located in Lausanne, Switzerland. Founded in 1853 as a private school under the name École Spéciale de Lausanne, it became the technical department of the public Académie de Lausanne in 1869. When the latter was reorganized and acquired the status of a university in 1890, the technical faculty changed its name to École d’Ingénieurs de l’Université de Lausanne. In 1946, it was renamed the École polytechnique de l’Université de Lausanne (EPUL).

ACROSSLIMITS – AL

AcrossLimits is a dynamic Maltese commercial entity with its roots firmly derived from the new technology and media sector. In fact its core business is still centred around the areas of e-Business, Internet and Knowledge Management solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises. University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing – UNIZG-FER

The University of Zagreb is the oldest and largest university in South-Eastern Europe. Ever since its foundation in 1669 when King Leopold I Habsburg issued a decree granting the establishment of the Jesuit Academy of the Royal Free City of Zagreb, the University has been continually growing and developing, and now consists of 29 faculties and three art academies.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing is the largest technical faculty of the University of Zagreb founded in 1956 when the College of Engineering of the University of Zagreb was divided into four faculties. It is recognized as the leading high education and academic research institution in the fields of electrical and computer engineering and computer science in Croatia.
